Blackbird and a scarecrow

Blackbird and a scarecrow

Vers 1
Clouds are looming in the sky - hide the sun and sun nothing is dry,

a blackbird is seeking shelter from the rain - wings so wet are heavy as chains...

A scarecrow is standing in a field - decayed and forgotten and so are his dreams,

once he filled a purpose, he was wicked and proud but that was taken away when crops died...

Refräng

Thunder is roaring there's lightning in the sky - wings so heavy and the blackbird cries,

The scarecrow spotted him high up in the sky - little one come to me I´ll keep you warm and dry...

Vers 2

The blackbird found a shelter in the scarecrows chest - it trembled with cold as it laid down to rest,

And the warmth from the little one gave comfort to the scarecrow - he was useless no more he had saved a life...

Two separate souls but so alike...

Vers 3

But when the sun spread its first light the blackbird was gone - the scarecrow was left in that field in the dawn,

He missed the little ones voice but he had but choice - because scarecrows can't fly even if they try...

Ref

But then thunder started roaring there was lightning in the sky - sudden fire and the flames were high,

The scarecrow cried out, he thought he was gone - but then he heard a 100 blackbird's song...

And they saved him straw by straw...
